They work as they are designed to. They inhibit air to enter back into the brake system while doing a brake bleed job.

they have those as cheap as $8 if you google search other websites

I prefer to just stick a hose in a bottle so the end is below the level of some old brake fluid I remove from the master cylinder to do the same thing without needing to buy anything. you can also fold the tubing over to kink it and hold it there with a rubber band so the pressure pushes its way out but air cant be sucked back in. no matter how you bleed your brakes you will still need to use a hose and catch bottle on it anyway unless you plan to just let brake fluid leak out everywhere so I don't see where this is something you should make a point to go out and buy for your truck but it is one of those nice things to have.

If my bleeders needed replacing anyway then I would definitely by the check valve bleeders but that would be the only reason.

by the way, if anyone wants these for the Tacoma 2wd trucks then you want to use the Russell Speed Bleeder #639570

and this is the application number list to find the right one for any vehicle http://russellperformance.com/mc/speed-bleeders/truck-suv.shtml

Gave them a try on another rig. 3 out of the 8 I bought leaked and let air back into the system. Gave the other 4 away,,not worth my time.

Grab yourself a pressure bleeder kit.
