What could be my next????

This freaken mod bug wont go away!

I was thinking of maybe some DT Headers. But Im not sure if its totally worth it, if im ganna see much gains from it. So please help me out..

 

DT headers would tie in what you already have.

 

trueeee....... But how much hp gains could I possibly see from it. Would i really notice a difference?

 

To be perfectly honest; I don't think there is much bolt on stuff that we can put on our trucks and feel any actual performance gains. Our trucks are very well tuned. By our I mean tacomas in general no variance between 1st and 2nd gen. However I would think a URD Intake DT long tube headers, and almost any muffler will be a good choice. Then to have your vehicle calibrated for the performance parts. MHO.
Gadget would be the person to speak with, these mods won't be cheap but will function as a whole. What about the Supercharger, cost would be around 3k and I haven't heard any real complaints.

 

Save up for a Supercharger, headers will give about 1o and not really worth it without the supercharger

 

gotchwa!!! thats what I thaught, but I really dont think a supercharger is worth 3-4K, I just want some more power and to open it up a little more. Complete my setup, you know? But if its ganna give me less then 10-15HP, then I dont think its worth the 500bucks.

Yeah, I know it will.
But is there something else I can do that give me a small boost in power? Headers is one, to complete my setup. But is there something else? MAF calibrator I think will only help me in WOT. which is what I dont need.

 

Thats the same understanding that I have for the MAF Cali. we really don't have much performance options, especially if you are like me and looking for low end torque.

yea i thought the s/c made a huge diff. at first but then i started running the numbers.....3800 bucks for a whopping 40 HP!!!! hahaha but it does good for the kind of driving i do, but if i had it do do over i would have done something else.

 

^^^How do you like your JBA's? how much did they cost ya, and did you install them?

 

there okay. i got them b4 i joined the forum, the guys in here are big on DT and my buddy has them on his 01 and you can acutally tell a diff. but with the JBAs...not so much. they sound good thats all that matters rite???? haha yea i installed them, if your gonna do it yourself its a real tight install but its not to hard just time consuming.

 

^^Cool. Yeah I think Im ganna save up for some DT headers next. I just need a bit more power, I felt a descent drop after the lift and tires. but I think the headers will do just fine. thanks guys!!!
