This weekend I am planning to finish the last stage of my winter prep for my truck. I am planning on picking up one of those pump up garden sprayers to spray in to the frame. What would be a good oil product thin enough to spray through something like that. It would def. have to be a super low viscosity or even mixed with somethig to make it thinner. What are you guys using?

This topic has been discussed extensively by TW members: many swear by Fluid Film, also Amsoil MPH.

Ok I was reading about fluid film I just didn't know about the viscosity of it. I can simply put used motor oil on a rag and wipe most of the outside of the frame but I just wanted to get an idea of what was thin enough to run through one of those sprayers and do a good job coating the inside of the frame without clogging the tip of the sprayer. I didn't want to buy something to open it to oinly find out it is to thick to be sprayed. Will motor oils or fluid film spray nicely?

Has anyone used diesel of inside the frame that seems like it would spray well?

You can buy fluid film in an rattle can can or in bulk form to use a spay gun for application...so yes fluid film will spray nicely.

You can mix diesel (or paint thinner?) with used motor oil or gear oil to spray on your frame. Otherwise fluid film has a pretty good reputation and should come ready to spray.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I've never even heard of this, but wouldn't spraying motor oil on your frame just attract more dirt? Haven't seen or heard about fluid film so I have no idea what that's all about.

You change your engine oil for a reason if you'er going to pollute at least buy new oil it won't be full of water gasoline and corrosives.

FF is non toxic and legal (motor oil etc. is not) it will not spray with a bug sprayer any high pressure system will spray it like a Wagner electric paint sprayer.
