    Hi all,

On the rear of the truck, to the stock bump stops only consist of the rubber blocks on the bottom of the frame? No items on the top of the rear end housings?

If I am supposed to have bumps on the rear end housing/leaf springs as well, what are the best replacements for a factory ride height truck?

    Chris,

Ahh so I am missing the leaf spring rubber block. Do the stock units mount to a metal plate and the metal plate fits under the shackles?

I was looking at the wheelers bump stops, anyone happen to know if they are stock height?

Under the u-bolts, it's 1 piece with the rubber molded onto the little plate.

Yeah the one wheelers sells fur 124.50 will fit on your taco... they also sell spacers for fine tuning of bump stop height if you need. Some times you have to really look through their site to find things, they can be hidden fairly well if ya don't look in just the right stop within the site

    maybe maybe not

the 4wd and 2wd prerunners the axle mounts under the leafs and you have the two rubber stops, one on the leaf bracket and one on the frame rail. on the regular trucks the axle mounts on top of the leafs and you only have one that's bolted to the frame and looks like the one bolted to the springs in that picture.

what truck do you have, 2wd regular truck? 4wd? 2wd prerunner? lets start there

I have the 4WD. I can see I have the plate on the top of the leaf packs still, but no rubber attached to them any more. There is also welded pieces on the frame rails.

Does anyone have an idea what the leaf spring rubber bumpers are called when trying to source them from a parts depot? And what the height of the stock bumpers are?

    Not on this planet.

Toyota calls them "bumpers". Aftermarket folks will call them "bump stops" You have a single one on top of the spring with a steel strike welded to the frame, like the pic previously posted. Depending on your year and TRD/nonTRD package, Toyota lists at least 3 different part #'s that may or may not supersede up to the latest number. Go here http://parts.camelbacktoyota.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214329 and punch in your particulars then go to "rear suspension". Item #3 in the 4wd diagrams.
The total height for a 99 TRD including the plate is 2 3/8".
