I have a new to me 2002 3rz with about 175k miles. I'm getting a P0420 code which I had hoped to cure with a signal conditioner from URD. I'm waiting for the URD part. Yesterday, I reset the codes with a really nifty app called Dash Command. That said, it threw me a curve today when it showed a P0420 for bank 1, which is the front sensor, right?
It's curious as when I reset the codes, the truck seemed to run a whole lot better until the check engine light came on. Because it's a 5 speed, the change in engine performance is really noticeable in the shifting.
I'm prepared to sit at the feet of anyone who can shed some light on what is going on.
    Thanks a bunch!

why don't you just replace it with the correct working sensor instead or trying to "rig" it with a bypass contraption? did you remove your cat or something?

Thanks! Not exactly sure what I bought and am learning as I go. I hope you're right and that the new muffler will set things straight. I've got 1200 miles to go between FL and ME. I'm not really interested in burning a valve along the way.
    Thanks for the help!

    Didn't mean to get you
