Hi all, new to the forum and have been reading for a while trying to glean what information I can before posting. Feel like I have an idea of what I want to do, but there's so many interrelated systems that seems like as soon as you make 1 change you have a few more that are needed. so, I'd like to run a rough draft of some of my ideas and see what everybody thinks. Thanks

basics, 2001 Taco TRD 4x4 access cab, pretty much stock. has a K&N filter and camper shell but that's about it.

intended usage: as of now, daily driver/light off-road for fishing/hunting/camping, not so much crazy extreme rock crawling, but ya never know right?

lift I'm looking at: Toytec BOSS 3", with complete rear spring pkg and diff. drop
I'm going to build as I go, so a winch/bumper could be in my future, but not right away....will the med (600lb) accommodate the weight, or will I need the heavy (650lb) coils
will most likely add the UCA option as well
    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/BOSS-Suspension-System-for-955-04-Tacoma_p_784.html

Tires: for now, gonna leave the stock 265s on. down the road possibly 285s, or 32/33? backspacing required for any of these with a lift?

it also seems 2 routes for increased tire clearance would be to either trim, or body lift. If I went small, like 1" body lift, is that a bad idea, better off doing the fender/wheel well trimming?
I know body lifts may not have the best rep, but I would use a reputable brand, and keep it small with HD grade 8 hardware....

with these mods will there be anything else potentially needing changed as well?
    thanks!

With plans for a winch and bumper (and skids and sliders?) the 650 lb coils are a better choice in the long run. The 600 lb coils will not hold up with all the extra weight.

I started with 650s and have now gone to 700 lb coils because even the 650s weren't enough.

how much extra weight are you running on the front...and what accessories?

I'm kind of clueless when it comes to how much stuff I may be adding actually weigh....

If you add up all the heavy pieces (2 sliders, aftermarket skid plates, plate bumper and winch), I guestimate about +300 lbs over stock.
