    Hi All, I saw a study that a member did on oil filters back in 2010,unfortunately I was unable to open the link,can anyone advise?

    I usually use K&N because it has the 1" socket head on it which makes removing it a breeze.

    I suspect the taller one would be a hell of a lot easier to get at too. So just to be clear, the taller version is a direct fit for the 3.4?

    Grey wire and keyless entry. I like stock.
    Oil filters all overkill. I do understand OEM filters filter much, much better than aftermarket, but they all perform way more filtering than regular engine oil needs day to day. I used this in another thread on here.

    Its like a comparing a #1 pro football player and a #1 college level player. Either one is going to be able to catch the ball and run the ball. Doesn't matter which level you pick from.

    Been using the Pure one and Mobil 1 synthetic for 50K without a problem. I don't burn a drop between changes.

    This seems a lot of talk about something completely irrelevant. The OEM filter may not be the best and sure as hell not the worst but it is what the system has built into it. Why would anyone want to diverge from it?

    Not trying to be a dick but this comes up on every forum i have belonged to.

    Find one record, proving it was an oem filter by itself that caused an engine issue.

    Lack of oil intervals is the #1 killer. Not the filter.

    The OEM filter for the 4.0L v6 will fit the 3.4L v6 and gives you a bit more filter element as it's longer. It's also a bit easier to change. OEM has always been the cheapest most effective filter I have found.
