Any body install a K&N filter system on a 2.7. If so, what are the benefits.
    Is it worth it.

Not worth it but if you do you'll have to clean your maf all the time.

Just I as was told, and not by a tacoma owner. Had an 85 4runner for 20 years, I wish I still had it, I really miss that truck, especially in the snow.

It was a great rig and it did awesome in the snow but it was a little on the rough side. One day I might get another but for now I'm set with my Tacoma.

I am outside of Boston. It is a rarity to see a Tacoma any older than 00. They bought them all back because of the frame problems. The guys I know got crazy money for beaters and were reluctant to give them up.

    The Bed is stock...ish

Had one on my 99 for a while... Never noticed any gains at all.. Lets of extra noise. I put my stock intake back on once the K&N filter fell apart and was very happy not having to hear the hollow intake noise ever again.

I had one in my jeep and the benefits are more noise, a fine film of dust on the intake, unknown extra wear on the engine due to poor filtering, messy cleaning process that takes 2 days to do correctly, and a "pay back" on being reusable that approaches 150,000 miles. (which is about when you'll be rebuilding the engine because of the poor filtering) Other than that there are no benefits. I only run stock Toyota filters.
