I've had mixed answers from several people. I have a '98 TRD PreRunner v6, when driving around town/traffic do i keep over drive on or turn it off? Also, when should I turn abs on? Only when it is slippery?

    Thank you for any input.

leave overdrive on all the time, its there to maximize gas mileage and the tranny will downshift if it needs to be in a different gear.

if you are towing a lot of weight or going up and down hills towing then turn off overdrive for that otherwise just leave it on.

normally abs should also be left on all the time but with our trucks I have read it doesn't work right so maybe leaving it off might be best depending on where you drive so do a lot of reading about this one before you decide what to do

Overdrive is always on, only turn it off when climbing up hills and carrying big loads
