Will this fit?

Looking at a new headunit for my truck as my current one is garbage. Was looking at this but noticed it was slightly bigger than other headunits I've been seeing. Its 6.2" rather than 6.1".

Will this fit? Or should I look at another one instead? If so, any recommendations? I want a touchscreen with bluetooth

 

I'd read some of the reviews. It looks like people are saying its larger than a normal double DIN.

I highly recommend going to crutchfield for stuff like this. Their customer service is outstanding. Plus, with the purchase of any head unit, you get all the stuff you need to install it free.

*edit to add: When you go to crutchfield you can click on "what fits my car" and it will give you a filter of things that only fit your 01'. Plus, you can further filter by selecting units with touch screen and bluetooth.

 

How are their prices? Because I don't have much to spend on it as I've got other issues to work out with the truck, but I wanted to use the Christmas money I got and maybe a little extra on something that I've been wanting for a while

Its a little more expensive than what you were looking at but I can tell you that the quality will be 10x what that Amazon head unit was. I had a similar Pioneer and was extremely happy with it. Plus, with this you get free shipping, free install gear (the trim bezel and mounting hardware) a install master sheet for your specific vehicle (how to take it apart, which each wire is) and phone tech support. These people will literally sit on the phone with you when you get stuck and go step by step. Its pretty awesome actually haha.

 

Thats the EXACT one I was just looking at lol. I know they're closed today, so I'll give them a call tomorrow while I'm at work. Currently I have a single din the po put in and it resets itself all the time. Plus I hate fighting with the AUX cable. Time for bluetooth. Parent's Camry has it and I was spoiled by it when I got to drive it.

 

Getting a new stereo is an awesome feeling. Especially when its a upgrade from an old single DIN to a nice touch screen double. You can also online chat with them while ordering and they'll be able to look at your cart before you buy to make sure you have exactly what you need. Did just that last week for my wifes car.

 

I've been wanting one for a while. The PO didn't do any maintenance to it other than oil changes so I've pretty much been repairing it since I got it. So thats where most of my money goes. Only enhancements to my truck that I bought was a toolbox for the bed (got tired of my back seat not being able to be used) and some rain deflectors for my windows (gets pretty hot and rains a lot down here). Now that I'm getting my headunit, gotta put some aside for speakers. Half of them are blown lol. And then after that some rims

 

It never ends haha. I have future paychecks already set aside for truck mods.

 

I've been infected with the mod bug haha.
