The past 2 mornings on my way to work (very cold out), my abs light would blink very fast as the truck was warming up, I would start to drive and it continued, it would stop for a while, then blink really fast again. The trucks brakes were not effected. My commute isn't more than 10 minutes but it continued that cycle the whole way.

On my commute home in the evening, everything was normal (no flashing). Back and fourth from home to the gym after work, everything was normal also.

Brake fluid is at the full mark and i had a friend put the truck on a lift to physically inspect the brake sensors and they seemed ok also.

I searched and only found people having this problem who have ultrguage or scanguages. I don't have any of those. The only thing that has changed recently was the professional installation of an avital 4103 remote starter, but that was a couple weeks ago and this just started happening 2 mornings ago.

    Any ideas? thanks

So this morning i remote started the truck for about 10 minutes, went outside and the abs light was not blinking. Drove to work and the light never started to blink. Not complaining, just find it weird that it stopped... Not sure whats going on.

Possibly moisture found its way on to the reluctor rings of the abs system? What was the weather like other than cold? Moist/Damp drive home the night prior to problem starting?

Check your under hood wiring at the ABS module and where it goes along with inner fender. I've seen mice/rats chew on the wires in this area. Otherwise check the wiring under the dash at the OBD2 port for any tampering.

past three nights were just cold, probably around 35. No differences in them come to mind... The two morning were when it happened were maybe a little colder than this morning but nothing crazy different.
