Fuel Filter Replacement on 2.4L 2wd Tacoma Xtra-Cab

    hey all, was wondering if any of you guys had an easy way to replace my fuel filter on my truck. it is underneath my intake and i can only get to one nut with ratcheting wrenches. any help would be appreciated! thanks guys!

    Honestly,

    Its not a whole lot extra harder to remove the upper intake manifold. While this is certainly not required to do the fuel filter, with the upper manifold off, the fuel filter is a breeze to get to - literally can do it with your eyes closed. And if your fuel filter is due for replacements, your manifold and TB can use some cleaning as well. Why not make it a project for next weekend?

    not sure if the 2.7 is different (don't think it is) but on my 2.4 you can do everything by coming in from the top and reaching under the power steering pump and intake manifold so the tire does not need to be removed unless you cant feel for things without seeing what you are doing.

    it does require you feel for the bracket bolts, then use one hand to position the socket and hold the extension in place while the other hand puts the ratchet on and then you can use both hands to break it lose. once the bolt is broken loose it can be unscrewed easily by hand.
