hopefully someone can answer this real quick. there is a 2003 tacoma 4x4 with trd package. It's really clean no rust, no dents or accidents. The only thing that concerns me it does not have the factory e-locker. I thought all 4x4 trd package has e-locker. It does have the ect or something button. I looked in the brochure, but that's more cryptic than the bible.

I did a google search and came up with no real answer, besides why do you want a an e-locker for. I figure if his asking price is for tacoma with a trd package I would like to know if he just put the sticker on the Taco.

    Thanks in advance

From my understanding all 01-04 trd's come with the E-locker.

Thanks but running this Vin never has the options its only in the build sheet. Unless you know a different way of checking.

The ect button changes the shift points of the transmission. It holds the gear longer for better towing, a little more umph. If it has the elocker there will be a button to the left of the steering column with "RR Diff Lock" on it.

Its a v6....thanks. I have a feeling he added the stickers. I would be fine if it was a just a 4x4 with no TRD package but when you are asking premium for your truck because it has the TRD package we have a problem, Houston....

It's just a sticker then. 2003 4x4 v6 TRD all had the locker.
As previously stated, there were a handful of 4banger TRD's that did not come with a locker, but pretty sure those were only early years.

    It's spelled out perfectly:

The number 4 is a footnote at the bottom and is as follows:

If it's a true TRD v6...then it comes with a locker. Just like everyone has already said.

The BEST way to find out is to LOOK. Look for the actuator on the rear diff.

Did you even read the OP? He already said it doesn't have a locker. The question is whether the truck is a TRD model or not. And with no locker and a has v6...it's not a TRD.

Here is the truck in question it doesn't have the button with the RR to the left of the steering column. I will have to assume it's a regular 4x4 without the trd package...thanks everyone....

I see your from Colorado, I'm actually going to ft. collins next week for work. Maybe I should look there...

Admittedly I don't know crap about the Taco market, I'm just going off the fact that I paid 10 and change for mine from a dealer. 02 w/150k on the odometer, 4 door (actual) TRD in great condition inside and out.

Thanks everyone, he lowered the price on it. I'm fully aware it does not have the TRD package. We settled on a price, his going to fix the stone chips on the hood and tailgate where the camper lid meets.

Not many 4x4 tacos DB 1st in the Los Angeles ares. Most are pre-runner and run about the same price or more.

You know, I hadn't taken this into consideration, but come to think of it, we drove my Taco to the LA area and I swear I was the only 4x4. Saw lots of 4 door Tacos but they were all pre runners.

If you do a search for a double cab 03-04 with a 100 mile radius from los Angeles. You will only find 3.
