parts look up?

can someone tell me why i cant find my truck when i look up parts for it? everytime i go to autozone, checkers, ect, on there web page they (i) cant find my truck, 2001 4x4 tacoma dubble cab (4 door) with v6, it only comes up as 2001 pre-runner crew cab pick up 4door v6. what gives ! i really need to get a muffler and i even emailed auto-zone about a part bosal 295-187 and they said it would work , but its under the pre-runner name? and i'll been told i dont have a pre-runner any one?

 

What about going to Rock Auto - https://www.rockauto.com/ - and using the VIN number?

Well, as long as you're not looking for anything four wheel drive parts wise the per runner is the exact same vehicle as yours just no 4x4.
But that is dumb not showing parts for your 4x4, kinda weird?
And future reference go to rock auto first! If I'm not mistaken they give a TW discount too! Don't know what the code is though....
