How high can i go before ill have to get a full lift kit on my Tacoma. i have fab tech 2.5 shocks to 3in and a 3/4 in diff drop but i want to go another inch to keep my tires rubbing. Can i put a 1in spacer to get my inch would that affect my CV axles or would i have to drop the diff more?

if wheel rubbing is your main concern, would wheel spacers solve your issue?

It probably could but they dont seem they would be to sturdy when i'm flying through the desert. I've heard they can rip the tire off when you hit a bump real hard.

After 3'' in the front you will need to get a lift kit, yota243 makes a good point wheel spacers may help or cutting an angle to the inside of the wheel-well may help also depending on where you are rubbing.

Im rubbing on the inside of the fender well by the cab its moslty when im flexing on a turn or when i hit a bump fast. How much would i need for a spacer that will be strong?

wheel spacers should be the same as having less backspacing (i think less would be the term i need to use there if not then more) you could also do a 1" body lift to clear your tires. theres no really great solution but i would think those two would be ok fixes.

Pictures of where you are rubbing would be very helpful in solving your dilemma.

If you haven't done so, you want to beat down the pinch weld.

Wheel spacers increase your scrub angle and may not solve the problem (pictures would help) as you may still be contacting the wheel well after install.

A 1" body lift may help more. It depends on where you are rubbing (pictures would help). Several folks are running with good results. The 2" and higher body lifts are not recommended because they get more involved with the couplings between body and frame as well as creating a larger lever arm on which the cab is mounted on (increasing sheer forces on the cab mount bolts).

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "a full lift kit".

It is rubbing on the pinch weld. I have beaten it down some but i think i need to more. For a body lift what would you recommend? Like a Rough Country or a Fabtech lift for a 6in. i'm not good a explaining things like that.

The uniball design UCAs allow for more travel. I've heard the ball joint on the Light Racing UCAs have more articulation than stock so they would as well. However, I'm not sure how this would solve your rubbing issue.

Also, OP, have you had an alignment done to see if the caster can be changed to help?
