This Camry talk is irrelevant since we are dealing with a six lug hub.

Chevy is 108mm...yota six lug is 106mm.

So I assumed it was an OEM because it did actually fit.(sorta) if it were Chevy it would have fit. That rim is a hub centric 106mm hub bore! if the center cap wasn't used there wouldn't be an issue here. I don't know of any other vehicle manufacture that makes a rim that is close to 106mm besides Chevy, and I guess dodge(keakars info)

keakar's expertise on Toyota 4wd demonstrated in another thread a while back...I knew I recognized him from somewhere.

The second sentence was only thing keakar posted that was right:

Thank you crainholio!!! Was hoping someone would back me here.

Keakar you have good knowledge of things, you really do, but...you are not a Toyota guy, and your five lugger has many differences from our six luggers. Not putting you down at all!! Please don't take it that way! But you throw out Toyota info when the info you give doesn't pertain to Toyota. Or only pertains to five luggers.

    SUCCESS!!!

What worked was the most suggested option: many hard whacks on the inside of the rim finally broke it loose. Thanks to all of you for the suggestions and recommendations. I've now learned what to do, what not to do.

Now it's back into the mountains! (with a spare that fits)

Bud....your spare fit just fine, don't use a slip through the rim center caps on a hub centric rim, without using that cap it would have been a non issue.

Im not saying to reuse it but if you get the rest of that center cap outta the rim and try it on you'll find that its a nice tight hub centric fit....

Do you know what the difference is from a non hub centric wheel to a hub centric??

its cool, I freely admit im not perfect and make mistakes, sometimes my advice is off based, so im glad to be corrected. if im wrong show me im wrong and I learn from it, only small people (cornholio) get petty about it and need to follow people around pointing out they made a mistake in one post somewhere. he is just mad he made a fool of himself in a thread and I proved him wrong so he follows me around hoping for a chance to say I was wrong about something . an adult would have moved on by now.

I even made a mistake in my earlier post because its fords that can use dodge rims not chevy, chevy I think has a close match to Pontiac or Chrysler I think but the hubs are a tight fit.

bottom line is the guy got the rim off by using our advice and decided on his method of choice from those we offered and probably a little of his own so its all good, he needed help and the community here gave him useful information, that's how it should be.

but I must point out again, you are making the same mistake I make sometimes in "assuming" his spare fits fine and you DO NOT KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE. he never said it was the factory spare tire so anything is possible and as I said before, with used trucks you would be surprised how many have spares that were put under there from salvage yards and told it fits the truck yet it was never checked to see if they fit. spare tires get stolen often, almost as often as cats do, so while odds are good your advice is true and it will fit ok after he gets the rest of that cap out of it, you cant say that for certain until you ask and get an answer to the question of if this is the factory OEM spare tire or not.

Keakar, if the rim had a smaller than 106mm hub bore it wouldn't have fit at all. If it had any size bigger than 106mm it would have fit with that cap installed. So...this is why I keep assuming its a 106mm hub bore, OEM Toyota.

I really wasn't looking for keakar in this thread, just recognized the completely wrong info being posted and realized who it was. Again.

Same pattern of gibberish followed by imaginative explanations of how he arrived at his wrong conclusions.

I've done a mod or two
Had this happen when a set of alloys welded (corroded) to the hub of my Maxima. Put one lug on very loose with the wheel jacked up and gave it the hardest horse kick I could muster. Busted loose, good luck OP.

Edit: Realized you figured it out, good job!

Same here with my wife's Land Rover and same solution. I started applying anti-sieze to the hub surfaces after that trauma. :D
