Yeah I have a chevy s 10 that I've had for years and I was always able to reach the top of cab easily but with more height now the first time I washed it I got up in the bed and also opened the front doors to get the top of cab. What do you guys use for reach?

The bars running the length of the cab are good for standing on, among other things. :)

if I cant reach it then I cant see it so I don't have to clean it

but I wash my truck by waiting on it to rain then I drive it around and then its washed as far as im concerned lol

when I did care, I got in back and reached over the roof to get top of windshield then the roof then I rinsed that off and wet down and washed the rest of the truck, for reaching the center of hood and windshield I stood on folding chair. but this was for my Silverado which had more areas that you cant reach

I've done a mod or two
Just stand in the bed, wash the roof and move on to the rest. I used to be able to reach from the ground, then I lifted and now I cannot. 6' 2", and I feel short now.

I used a long handle brush and stood in the bed on my 1st gen and now my 2nd gen. I can do the same standing on the sliders or bed rack.

Hmmm, I wouldn't wash with the doors open. Maybe just a step ladder then, usually the crap on the roof is pretty well stuck so a long brush won't help because you won't be able to get enough pressure on it.

there is always the drive through carwash alternative for those with tops, lol

they actually do a fairly decent job of it too, when I absolutely have to clean my truck its done in 2 minutes and $10 well spent

Same thing here! I have a long handled soft brush that I use for washing the entire truck, then a Microfibre cloth to get into the tight areas around the doors and hinges.

I stand in the doors and in the box for the back section and the rear window.

I can reach about a foot of the roof from the ground so when the doors are open there is no risk of water/soap coming inside.

A squeegee to reach all of the windshield and I let mother nature take care of the rest.

Been using a long handle split bristle marine brush for the whole truck since I bought it in 99. I can reach about 3/4 across the cab by hand standing on the ground, but the ultra soft brush makes it so much easier. We have hard water so the squeegee side comes in handy for a quick swipe across the glass as I go. Cotton towels for the towel off,,when I do that in the summer.

This one, but I buy them at a local Commercial truck supply shop.
