Not the most riveting thing to talk about but I have two major leaks I believe to be from O rings. I am wondering if I just find any O ring that it should work or should I use the OEM part do to fit and the fact that it is ATF which is pretty corrosive.

The First O ring is the bottom of the reservoir on my power steering pump.

Second is my transmission cooler line.

If you looks on this diagram there is an O ring (32921G) and I think that is what is causing my leak because I can not tighten that outlet nut (32921C) down anymore.

I would go with oem, its something not worth taking chances on having to redo it again later.

yes you can match the o-ring at any hardware or automotive store and they are not made from anything special so all O-rings are the same material but it can vary with non-standard thickness and size (metric) so for these reasons I have had a few generic o-rings not last because there is a slight difference in size that isn't noticeable to the eye.

any O-ring that fits should work. if you can't find one ultra black the hell out of it and tighten it down.

The transmission leak isn't extremely bad less than a quart a month. The power steering is bad. Parking in the snow looks like something was murdered with all the red ATF.

Nice! since you have the part number just order it through Toyota. It's probably a $40 O-ring through them, but at least it'll be done and over with.

I was having power steering issues a while back. Had the resi off and buggered up the o ring on install. I have an o ring assortment just found one that was close and its held for quite some time now.

Something like that is not going to kill you on price from the dealership. Grab a spare or two if they have it.
