Hey guys, recently got my 2003 tacoma 3.4 4wd extra cab. My question is what gear is the 4wd "shifter" suppose to be when driving 2wd. It is a push button and when its in neutral, it doesn't move when put in drive. It only moves in the High gear. I'm assuming it has to be in high at all times when driving 2wd? Hoping nothing is wrong with the truck. First time using this type of 4wd. Thanks

It's always in 4hi. Only time you move it is to switch to 4lo

yep like ^^^^ stated: transfer case in "H" for 2wd and 4wd hi. put transfer into "L" for 4wd low. you should have a little card in the driver's side sunvisor with the transfer case/4wd operations instructions.

make sure the 4wd shifter is closest to the seat, thats 2h/4h and the push button actuates the front drive.
