Can't seem to get a straight answer out of the wheels section of this forum and no amount of searching has brought anything solid up, main question is Can I run a 15" rim on my truck? I want 33x12.50r15 but not sure if its possible. 2002 DC 4x4. Thanks in advance.

I'm no pro but from what I've read, you should be able to run 15s. It all depends on the wheel's backspacing and how much lift you have to see if your tires will rub against anything.

If your truck is like my 5-lug, you should be able to run wheels as small as 14".

I know 2nd gen 6 lug can only run 16s. Would def run 15s if possible

You can. Wheelers offers a 15" rim specifically for use on 1st gens.
I'm sure there are more that will fit but hard to tell without one in hand.

For sure 15's will work! But like mentioned already sometimes the calipers can be an issue, though I've never had an issue with caliper rubbing and I've used a few different 15 inch rims on my 1st gens.

    Thanks everyone

After I posted this I found a set of procomp rims that will work.

SR5 trucks came with 15" wheels. TRD trucks use 16". I got both.

One thing I did notice, my 4 x 4 with 15" wheels were taller than the 4 x 4 with 16" wheels, by just a tad. You have to have them side by side to see the difference.

These are both gen 1 trucks.

I was lead to believe that the latter of the 1st gens needed the 16" wheels to clear the brake rotors, not that the caliper was an issue. I've got 15" steelies on my '99 and needed a small spacer that I picked up at autozone to clear the caliper.
