Oakland, ca autoshops?

just wondering if anyone in the oakland area has found an awesome spot for a tune up...please advise. (no dealerships)

I wouldn't recommend XYZ Motors just off Broadway. I was out of time before a long trip and had them do the front brakes and flush the coolant system. They didn't flush the brake fluid like I had asked (it was VERY DARK and obviously needed to be changed) and then the coolant was low once I drove it and got home, so they apparently didn't even start the truck up after "filling" it. The work was fine other than that, I guess, although my brakes squeal, so I could also say they did not properly (or at all) bed in the pads to the rotors.

This is the ONLY time I have taken my truck to a shop and may be the last.
