    3" Lift
Thanx Styx, but I need to confirm. Firstly, yes, I was looking for rear shocks only.

The Bilstein 5100 was my first choice, but I saw conflicting information on-line. Some sites clearly stated they have just one inch of travel, but other sites include those in 3" lift kits, so I called directly to the Bilstein Distributor in Canada (Essex) and was told they are only good for 0-1" lift. Yet another call to different person at Essex said they would work in a 3" lift, but the first person disagreed saying I would pull them apart in no time. So, even at the distribution level there are two different opinions.

It looks like you have the same Tacoma, so you know the left & right rear shocks are different lengths, so it's a bit unusual. I measured the total length of each existing shock, and got 19.5" for the left, and 21.5" for the right, so about 18" & 20" center to center, and this is slightly compressed with a couple of hundred pounds of box weight. I plan to remove the weight today and re-measure (really nice weather in Calgary right now, so I can drive without it).

What do you think, will the Bilstein 5100's be OK?

Get your static load measurements of the shock lengths. Take this and compare to the lengths of the 5100 shock. If it's acceptable, go for it. I, personally, run a set of 5125 rears for a T100. They're slightly longer and work perfect for my ride height.

I can't tell you from personal experience if the 5100's will work with 3" of lift, as I am running the Icons with only 1.5" of lift... but i'm pretty sure there are a ton of guys on TW running 5100's with 3". It's pretty easy to unbolt the rear shocks and take measurements. Then you should be able to find the collapsed and extended measurements of 5100's to compare.

Edit: BTW OP what leaf setup are you running in the rear to get 3"?

Just call or email and then buy what you need from them because they will give you the correct answer immediately instead of people on here offering you many different opinions.
