need to confirm that this is the manual tranny check/fill plug

    I've been told by members on here that I should make sure that I can get the fill plug open before draining the transmission fluid, for obvious reason.

    I believe that I have it located.

    Also, in the second picture, that is the drain plug, correct?

    fill/check plug ? ... the larger looking screw -

    The manual says to drive the truck for a couple miles to heat up the fluid, how important is this?

    I haven't driven it, it's about 50 degrees F right now.

    It'll just take half an hour longer to drain completely than it would if the oil were at operating temperature.
