Looking to replace my lower ball joints. Cheapest i found was about 99 bucks each for OEM. I know these are important to have high quality ones because of the failure they can have but that's a lot of money for a ball joint!

Whats everyone's thoughts? OEM for 100 bucks each or Moog/555/acdelco pro for about half the cost? The moog/acdelco/555 also come with new bolts.

OEM dude, these things are bad as they I would never replace them with cheaper crap. Just bite the bullet on these ones

get em at rockauto.com and select the ones shown with red hearts by them, those are the preferred parts for best price and reliability, there is nothing "special" or "magical" about the oem ones or means they will last as long as the originals because they are not even close to being the same quality as the originals were. they are cheaply made just like everything else is made today but they are better then the cheapest crappy aftermarket brands you want to avoid like moog.

moog used to stand for quality parts but now they just stand for crappy

the decent quality oem brand made today is $100 and the same decent quality aftermarkets made today will run around $40 each so do what you think is best

Replacement OEM ball joints can go another 100k. How long do you intend to keep the truck?

I will go with OEM if that's the general consenses. The thing I do like about moog or 555 is that they're greasable. I do alot of 4 wheeling and most the time i'm driving through deep water. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Oem camelback toyota for 87 each. I'd rather pay more for peace of mind than cheap out and pay 3-4 times the oem price in damages.

Orielleys auto parts. I get a bit of a discount because I purchase often.

I know they might wear faster. And some might say you don't want one snapping, but I'm set with some I got at AutoZone. Lifetime warranty at 30 some dollars a piece. Return mine when they look like they are out of shape and get new ones. Preventative maintenance should prevent any disasters;)
