    Is draining the oil from the pan the same oil coming out of the drain plug on the transmission. I have a '99 tacoma, v6 auto, 4x4. Thanks

    There should be two plugs, one for engine oil and one for transmission.
    The transmission oil should have a much stronger smell and a reddish colouring.
