tailgate Vs. Dirtbikes

so a buddy and i took my 04 DC out to the desert to go dirtbiking (btw i have to load my bikes up with the tailgate down). When i came home to unloaded everything. I closed my tailgate and noticed that my tailgate had a dent being pused out. I guess from the pressure of the dirtbikes.

My question is, any tips on how i can prevent that from happening again?

Yeah, I've carried my KTM 400, son's PW80, and daughter's 70 quad. The rear of the KTM, and the PW 80 almost sideways were on the tailgate...no damage.

One of the tailgate cables on my buddies taco was broken and he thought that one cable would be good enough to hold the 4wheeler, but it ended up getting a big ass dent/crease on one side of his tailgate from the bumper.

Maybe your cables are back..... just a thought

Tie the rear wheel(s) down so they dont bounce up and down creating more pressure on the tailgate.

My logic is undeniable
