Got a new toy need opinions on tires.

I ended up buying a 88 toyota 4x4 pickup with a 6" lift on it for $1400 its a 22re motor and pretty rock soild its a great trail turck but it needs new tires bad the tire's on it is 235/50/15 street tires i need some bigger tires and would like to know how big can i go w/o haveing to regear it? and if i didnt regear it and use big tires like 36's what would it do would it tear the truck up? I think its 4.29 ratio on it but im not sure

just lmk your opinions on what size tires to get i will get some pics of it up tomamrow on here

 

31/10.5 r15 are about as big as you can go unless you want to stop using 5th gear

 

Get some 33s as the minumum, to make the 6" lift not look so wild. Maybe 35s.

Noticing the 22re. Not sure if it will have enough to turn those tires effectively? Maybe just 33s. Others will chime in with their experience.

 

33's would be fine, 35's would be a struggle.

 

I ended up getting 33 13.50s and they work fine didnt see much difference in power loss. They just rough driveing on road cause there super swampers. But its mainly a off road truck only on road driveing is to get to the trails
