are there any write ups on how to change the timing belt, change differential fluid, change transfer case fluid, power steering fluid . i took it to the dealer to fix my drain plug prollem and got a whole list of things that need to be changed or replaced, it caught my eye that my tranny fluid was one of the things, i changed it not 1k miles ago so i wantr to service it myself, are there any write ups on how to use these

I wanna say The Transmission and Transfer case are the same as the diffs. Drain them then use the fill plug until it over flows.

 

is it ok to use synthetic gear oil if the transfer case and differential fluid has never been changed in 213k miles?

also how do you change the transfer case fluid

 

i drained and filled mine with semi synthetic fluid at 126K, no problems

Transfer case..drain and fill.

 

IF you have an automatic tranny you don't want to fill it like you do your diffs and t-case. Fill it like you do your engine oil with the right amount not just until it starts coming out.

I read Luk's post and he may have been talking about the diffs or a Manuel tranny but I just wanted to make sure.
