Removable Doors?

ok guys so i have decided i want removable doors like the jeep boys. all i have found so far are these.

they look the exact same, so i will just go with the cheaper one.

i wont go wheeling with them off. thats why i am buying quick release hinges...i all need to do is find a connector that i can use to i dont have to worry about the wires. any one got any ideas on those

it'll be a hellova lot cheaper than buying the door hinges

 

yea but then i always have the options to go back to stock hinges

 

well you can buy new hinges on ebay for ~14 bucks each and mod them

 

what about speaker wires? i guess yalls windows arent auto, auto locks... if u had a couple of these options i would be difficult to be able to reinstall the door and have everything work, IMO

no i dont have power locks or windows or mirrors, i found this:

"To get the old factory pin out without a fuss, cut it in half as it sits in the hinge, then take a cold chisel and start tapping around the edge of the top of the pin. (The hinges should be removed from teh vehicle first.) This should start to pry the pin upwards, then, when you clear the swege marks on the pin you can just pull it out. Repeat for the bottom half.
If you manage to cut your hinges and then force out the stock pin without ing up the brash bushing, then you can use a 5/16 (.3125") dia. x 2" long grip length pin perfectly. The stock door hinge bushings are 8mm (0.315" dia). My passanger's door hinges worked out this way and it works awesome! This works so well I can hardly believe it. The pin is upside down on the top hinge because there isn't enough room to drop it down through the top due to the shape of the door's edge. A sharp eye will notice that the lower bolt head on the door's half of the hinge is ground down. This is so you can clear the pin's shoulder by the bolt. It had to be done to get a straight up shot for the pin. Also when doing it this way you can retain the factory brass bushing which will keep the door tight and have that OEM fell. My driver's door's brass bushings in both hinges cracked when we tried to pull the stock pin so we had to drill them out to 3/8" and use a 3/8" Pin or bolt with the head ground down. This eventually wears on the hinges and Ifinally ended up replacing them with some I could use a 5/16 pin in."

oh and one more thing is it leagal to drive around with no doors???
i kno i see jeeps do it all the time but is it legal for a truck to do it?

 

those tube doors, while badass looking, seem pretty useless to me for a street rig. they wont keep anything out in terms of dust, water, or mud. why not buy half doors?

i dont want to do half doors, you might as well have no doors. i want to have the ability to put the stock doors back.

 

right, im saying half doors instead of tube doors, since tube doors really only protect you from boulders coming in.

 

yea that would make sence but i would rather have no doors at all, and at 200 bucks i dont think i can find doors for anything around that price then i have to buy supplies to mod the door.

 

so i am going to buy 4 pins just like this one at Home cheapo:

then i just need to find out where to get the brass bushings for the hinges because i will probably F*** mine up. and i found a good connector last night from my dad the the electrical stuff. so i will do it this weekend if i can get all the parts.

 

so all you would need is the quick release door hinges, then you could take your doors on and off, right?
