do you want to just start out with mid travel or long travel. also you will need to regear your truck probably some 4.56 or 4.88 for more power, my friends ranger had the 2.3l but not much power so me and him did a 4.0 engine swap. personally dont do a engine swap spend your money on suspension.

Get the fabtech 6'' lift and a 3'' body. That will make you taller than a stock prerunner tacoma.

Im assuming your a 5 lug...

Unless you replace the LCU's with something that eliminates the Lower BJ/ Bracket (long travel) I would avoid jumping your truck. This is the weak point in our suspension and they break without a lot of effort.

I am running spindles, 3" coils and Custom Uniball UCA's along with a body lift and love my set up however will be going Long Travel because even without jumping my truck I break that bracket quite a bit.
