I have a 02 Tacoma 6 cylinder and I want to ad a TRD supercharger.
My question(s) is, what all do I need to do beside adding the supercharger?
Is there a kit I can by that includes everything needed ?
I would like to have the additional power, but, not if it means shorter engine life or decreased dependability.

Is it as simple as bolting on the supercharger and being done?

    thanks for your help

if you have an automatic you will need to do a level 10 valve body upgrade along with a new torque converter, and engine life all depends on how you treat it really i have heard that the s/c gives better gas mileage and i have heard that it decreases it so im not positive and you have to change the intake manifold, not positive if it comes together or not but it should be just bolt and go if your mechanically inclined then it could be a personal install but if your lacking in tools and skills i highly recommend that you have someone else install it. URD makes a 7th injector kit and other toys if your looking for a bigger increase. maybe someone else on here can tell you more, there are a few supercharged first gens on here.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
It's pretty much bolt on. The other stuff is only necessary if you really want to tune it up.

Why would you put a sc on and not have it tuned? If you are going to spend the $, spend a little more and do it right!

    I got mine for a steal - $1,000

Yeah when I shop on eBay I watch for the fools who don't know what they are selling and purposely misspell different words in common ways. It works wonders (I use that when selling too)

Anyways, I've had it for a couple months and still haven't installed it yet. Deciding whether to do it myself or have Toyota do it. (they want more to install it than I paid for it - plus keeping my truck for 4 or 5 days)

Definitely at least going to install the URD oversized injector kit ($500) and re-tune my chip ($25)
