Definitely a scam. If you can't deal face to face then don't do it, #1! I can't remember what it is, but there's some magic number under $3000 where the Feds don't get involved with fraud cases, so you'll be shit out of luck when you never get your truck. If it sounds to good to be true, then it is! On the other hand, you could have some fun with this dipshit by sending him some convincing emails that you really want to buy it. Ask for an address to send a money order to and then send him a shit load of junk mail and magazine subscriptions. Fucker!!!

Those are always scams. ALWAYS... I bet he emailed you and said something like... The truck is currently in whatever location its posted in, and that he moved to another country but he will use ebay and that he has the truck at the shipping company ready to go. They do this alot, they use the pay though ebay or western union.

Avoid this like the plague! It reeks like some sort of scam!

A guy that I work with lost $10,000 in an Ebay scam over a Harley-Davidson. To make a long story short, he never saw his money again. The FBI did nothing more than take a report of the incident. This happened a few years after 9/11 and the FBI had more concerns with national security issues than chasing down a $10,000 fraud case.

That was my first thought...would probably cost a grand to ship a car coast to coast. Why would anyone do that for a $2,700 vehicle?

As for the 'I'm deaf' trick - what a lowlife.
