Hey guys, been lurking around here for the past of weeks... Today, I finally bought a 2004 Tacoma, Prerunner Doublecab. It's in great condition, with around 46,000 miles on it. It's a 4x2, automatic, has the power windows/locks. It's my first truck ever, before this I had a 96 Lexus ES300 and then a 00 Honda Civic SI (which I still have).

I'll post pics when I have them but for now, I just wanted to ask a couple of questions. (I already did a search.)

    1. What is the biggest tire size I can fit without any rubbing issues? The tires I have on there now will need to be replaced soon. I was looking at 265/75.

    2. Rims. Where/what are good brands and offsets? Where are good websites for Tacoma parts/accessories?

I'll have more questions as soon as I can think of them. Thanks! :)

I've got 285/75-16 BFG ATs on my DoubleCab on American Racing Tactic wheels. I do have the ToyTech 3" lift on it though. The tires rubbed the frame with my factory rims, but fit just fine after the new AR rims. You should check out the lifts, they are pretty cheap and easy to do. 265s should be stock size on your Taco. I got my rims at wheelsforless.com They have a pretty good selection at great prices. I paid $115 a piece for the rims that came with free lugs, stems, caps, and shipping.

That's cool. Check out the site anyways, they have good deals. I actually called and asked about the backspacing and offset on the wheels I needed and they were very helpful.
