Really annoying fast idle when cold, ideas?

04 3.4 v6 xtra cab.
im guessing this is normal as its done it since i bought it 2nd hand a year ago, but when ever i start it up cold or not fully warm it idles really fast, about 1700rpms. As its a manual its very hard to drive when its doing this.
i did get it checked by computer and no codes came up.
Pulling the TPS plug out fixes this, but thats not a good fix.

What is something i can check out? it pisses me off big time...

it works like a choke, it does it to warm the engine. it's completely normal, let it warm up a min fisrt, blip the throttle a few times and be on your way

 

But is there a way to bypass the coolant or oil temp sensor so it wont do this?
