Its looking like the head gasket on my Toyota Truck is blown up--I'd rather just sell as is--especially if the bill is looking like $1800 or so, as I have been told.

Wondering what you guys think the following would go for if I listed it on Craigslist or Ebay.

1996 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 w/ Camper Shell, carpet kit, rear slider, Manual Trans, 224K miles, new tires <10K, White--oh yeah, needs a front brake job. Hahhahha

Do you know about the frame rust warrantee?

Basically, you take your truck in to the dealer and they inspect the frame for internal frame rust (rotting from inside out). They're giving like 150% KBB value (to original owners) if you're frame is toast.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
Look at it this way: You couldn't buy your truck even with that kind of mileage for $1,800. Its still cheaper to get it fixed. Either that or do the repair yourself. The cost is because of the labor. My 96 taco has 223,000 and its in fantastic shape. No way I'd sell it unless I totalled it.

Can you buy a new car or truck for $2500 that will last for 223K miles?

If not then get the Truck fixed. Work out a payment plan or take a loan out.
Or just park the truck till you can save up the money.

I had this issues with another car, I found a used motor for $400 and rebuilt parts of it. Rented a Engine hiost and did the work my self. But i had the tools.

Yeah, got another rig already---'98 Dodge 2500 RAM Cummins Turbo Diesel.
Its bad A$$ --so hoping to find some dude handy with a tool box and then have him buy it for whatever I can get--I'm figuring some one will end up with a decent ride for $2200 total.
