fender flares

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy my first Tacoma and found some pics of prerunners with differnent fender flares than most of the 1st gens I've seen. Anyone know what years and models came with these flares?

Thanks,

Eddie

I "think" the color matching (to body color) flares came on the Sport models. 01 to 04

agreed. I've seen them on some tundras too...very ugly, but useful I guess if you are using the bed of your truck a lot. They make aftermarket fenders that flare out a lot, kinda expensive though.

I personally don't like the step side Tacomas, and I've never seen one in person. I can't say I like them on any truck. The best looking ones I've seen are on a ...gulp... Ford Ranger I think they look the most natural on the Rangers, but I'd still never buy one.

the step-side is to make access to the bed easier but pointless on the tacoma cause the bed isnt that big(like on a full size truck). tacomas look better without side-steps imo
