Need to know if the first gen Dcab's have the latch system for car seats. I tried looking but found nothing.

I have heard of people removing them for subwoofers so I would say yes they do. But I have never had a car seat in mine and I don't really know what they look like. Have you looked behind the seats?

Replaced chrome badges with Sockmonkey black badges, painted billet grill black, K&N cold air intake, my corner light turn signal circuit, Speedfreek traction bars, RAAMaudio BXT/Ensolite, Stereo: Kenwood KIV-701 USB/Bluetooth deck, 10" Pioneer shallow sub behind the rear seat, Infinity 6822cf 6x8 front and rear doors, Fosgate P400-2 (sub), US Acoustics USX-4065 (four main speakers)
They do although I thought they didn't come standard until 2003? I could be wrong, but I thought I read that one time (couldn't find it now). You are talking about the D-shaped metal things that make taking children's car seats in and out quick?

An easy way to tell is to look at the back rest of the rear seat. There are small tags (right about where the top of your back pocket would be if you were sitting in there) that say ISOFIX and LATCH.

I believe the law was anything manufactured after September 2002, I bought my explorer in September 2002 when my wife was prego and then when the baby came realized in was manufactured in August and didn't have them. Luckily the only accident the car was in was in the hospital parking lot while my son was being born (hit & run)

Old thread, but do you have a pic @mikesdoublecab ? My 2002 DC doesn’t seem to have them.

On our first kid, I was paranoid so I took the truck to the local highway patrol and was shown how to strap the seat into these tabs.

Excuse my trashy bag seat. You learn to stash plastic bags for trash when you got kids. haha
