What to do After bigger tires

I have recently upgraded from 265/75/16 tires to 285/75/16. I know that this will make my speedometer read slower than what I'm really going, and I even heard the odometer also get a little messed up. Is this true? And if it is how do you no when to rotate your tires, or do your oil change?

 

use the tire size calculator, it will help you out with that. but be sure to plug in your stock tire size to get the correct change. you shouldnt be off by more than a few mph at highway speeds though. your odometer will be off too. if you want an accurate miles traveled reading multiply your total miles by 7% when filling up, since 285's are 7 % bigger than stock tires, to get an accurate reading and mpg.

as for rotation, if you got mud tires id rotate them a little more often, but thats my opinion. do your oil changes the regular scheduled way.

 

x2, you dident change the tire size that much. mostly the width. and the only real way to correct the speed is changing the speedo gear. which is based on the gear ratio.
