Just out of Curiosity. Is anyone running a High Amp Alternator on their 1st Gen Tacoma? What amperage, how much did it cost, and where did you get it?

    Yota Dan,

I ran across your post. I do not have a high amp alternator yet but I am looking at the 160 amp from Northwest Offroad near you in Bellingham Wash. It is $494.00 plus shipping. I plan to get it with in the next week or two and install it in my 04 Tacoma dbl. cab. It installs, according to their tech guy, without modification of the original brackets; however, it does require a slightly longer drive belt from the original. I will let you know.
