I wouldn't put a lot of money into rotors... these trucks are famous for trashing them at the drop of a hat. You might extend the life a bit with aftermarket and careful use, but mine ate them for lunch and in reading the forums, I am not alone.

ya thats why im thinking of the power slot cyro because of the rotors are cyrogenically treated preventing wrap age to an extent....

Mine are also warped a little bit, and im also wondering if its a good idea to just upgrade and get new rotors and pads.
Or just to have them turned?

well the cheaper route of course would be machining them but i have some extra dough and i want to blow it on brakes considering these rotors are super warped.......50 bucks to machine verses 250+ bucks for new rotors.......

true, So I think i will just get mine machined, and then get some really good pads next time.
Do slotted rotors really last much longer, and not warp. I mean, long enough too really make a difference?

not really sure, i have heard different opinions, some saying that since they are slotted they have less surface area, thus less material and more heat and more chance to warp. but i have heard pros and cons but have not personally experienced brake upgrades....

When I was still IFS, I switched to cross-drilled, then to slotted rotors. Both seemed to last a little longer, but I am not sure it was enough to offset the additional cost. Probably not.

In my experimenting, one thing I did find, was that the cheapest organic pads I could find, reduced the warping the most. All the expensive semi-metallic pads lasted a little longer, but all seemed to eat rotors. When switched to the cheap ones, they didn't last as long, but I would get a couple of sets through before needing to play with the rotors again. Since replacing them is a five minute job per side, I did that until I cut the IFS off and was done with the problem.
