Throttle Body Spacer and Cold Air Intake

I am thinking about adding a throttle body spacer and cold air intake to help improve performance and gas milage (I am currently averaging 15mpg). Let me know your thoughts.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.

Welcome to TW!

TB spacers do nothing. Most "Cold Air Intakes" are actually Hot air intakes, as they suck air from the engine bay, as opposed to the OEM location which is in the fender. Best way to get better MPG, is make sure your vehicle is in a propper state of tune, tires are at correct psi, and watch your right foot.

Do the deck plate mod instead of a CAI. It's more effective and only costs about $10. Do a search on it, it's everywhere on here. I'm hoping to get mine done sometime soon when I get some time.

Yeah I have 35x14.5's on, if you went with a narrower tire you could get 36's on.

Commonly used for access to compartments on boats. They are water tight when installed correctly. One is installed in the factory air box on the first gens.

Could that be why your mpg is so low?
