I prefer the Factory Service Manual over either one ...

Depending on the model of your Tacoma, you may be able to access most or all of the relevant FSM documentation online.

New Pioneer stereo, and all 4 speakers with Infinity components. Sirius satellite radio. Deckplate mod done. Door buzzer silenced forever thank God, tinted windows, vent visors, hood protector(bug guard), ceramic pads and new rotors, dechromed EVERYTHING. 2" Lift front 3" rear. Skyjacker AAL's and replacement leafs(and front spacers) from Fatbobsgarage.com. Skyjacker 7000 Hydro rear shocks, those Bilstein 5100 fronts are coming soon!
because the factory service manual has a million times more ACCURATE info over haynes or Chilton which I have both. I also use alldata online and ncttora... Which Ncttora is factory and FREE.

I have the 1996 FSM in pdf form on my computer as well as a Haynes that I keep in the truck for quick reference (capacities, types of oil/plugs/other parts). If I am doing anything beyond the minor stuff than I print out the FSM pages that apply.
