GREAT SITE!!! toyota tacoma prerunner 2x4 trd package

hi to all, First off great site. Great info. Haven't been on all threads but looking for advise on what shocks i need for my 2002 tacoma prerunner sr5 trd package. I haul a landscaping trailer around which is about 2900 lbs loaded. the bed of the truck is loaded with about 300 lbs. When loaded it does sag, but thats expected. Should I go with heavy duty shocks or just get stock. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Welcome. Cool somebody else using a Taco for lawncare. Would airbags be an option to help with the sagging?

 

My truck is very bouncey also, doesn't seem to want to holed the wheels on the ground. Will spin the wheels on take off (even dry situation), and i don't hammer it either. I need advise on what shocks would be great for hauling and keeping the truck on the road.

 

#1 shocks are just that, they absorb shocks when going over bumps, pot holes etc. What you need are leaf packs for the rear. It's the leaf packs that help keep the load up and yes, airbags would help with your load. Also, new shocks will help with the bounciness on the road.

 

I have stock shocks all the way around, and my truck is bouncey as hell. My wife calls my truck the Boobie Bouncer....
