Seat trim on a 2000 taco.

Hi everyone. I've always loved tacomas and have recently joined the ranks of proud owners.

My 2000 4*4 has got a 3" body lift on it. and it seems that whenever i slide my ass off the seat that the cheap little metal retaining clips that hold the side plastic in pop out.

Anyone got a good fix for this?

Thanks

The best fix for this annoying little piece of shit plastic is the next time it pops off & just dangles there, finish it off by throwing it as far as you can like I'm getting ready to do to mine......

the only thing that i had thought of doing was perhaps drilling a small hole through the metal retaining clip and the plastic. Inserting it into the seat frame as always. Than reaching under the seat and inserting a cotter pin into the hole. Not an elegant fix but it might work.

Yeah, pretty much the same I was thinking, but just using a bolt washer and nut.
