Question Adding oil and trans cooler w/ re-locate filter

I need some sound advice please. I want to save my engine but I'm flooded with information overload regarding oil/trans coolers, etc. I was spoiled with a F350 but now have a wonderful 3.4L 96 Tacoma. I have to pull a lot of weight and need some advice on cooling.

I need to pull about 3500 to 5000 lbs..most of the time it's around 1200 lbs. I know the trans is cooled a little thru the radiator but I'm not sure that's enough. Also, I'm lost without an oil and trans temp guages and will apply these when I add extra cooling.

What I would like to do is design a cooling area in my bed toolbox with a radiator for both the trans and oil. I want to re-locate the oil filter to this location. While at it, I though to add a trans filter also. With this dual fin applicaiton with fans, I'd add the temp guages at this location.

My delima is, am I adding too much travel in the lines that would cause an oil and trans fluid pressure drop and would I have to add a pump to each supply? Basically, in one location, I'd like to cool the oil/trans and filter each and add the temp guages. Is this an absolute over-kill?

the new 4.0 may handle the pulling better, but I hope I can add some aftermarket coolers for my 3.4L to handle this load.

Please advice and I do apprecaite it.

How about installing a B&M tranny cooler, with an E fan set to turn on around 140 to 150*? You can mount that in the grill with plenty of room to spare, and that should be fine for ya.

Not sure if thats a good idea. If you run too many lines, that opens the window of opertunity for something to damage the lines.

Cooling

Good point. I have the B&M trans cooler printed out. At least that will start with my trans cooling concern.

Thanks
