Just as an FYI guys, I used to be on jeepforum.com. We had a thread on seafoam use. Hundreds of people gave it a shot with huge response of cleaner idle and smoother acceleration. We did have two guys saying they were pulling codes or having issues. But both of them came back later apologizing as they had forgotten to reconnect electrical connections they had pulled during maintenance. Good stuff in my opinion. I have used it in Jeeps, my 01 DC, my 08 subaru, an old Ford Crown Vic, a 91 Z-28, an RX-7, my old 69 Mach 1, and my mothers 4runner. Notable improvements in idle in every case.

I was really skeptical at first but i used it and had great results. I used the vaccum line method and used like 3/4's of the can in the sucker haha. I have the 2.7L with 200K miles when I did it. Runs great now. I wouldn't swear by it or anything but I'd say it works...

yes..........engine needs to be running. go by the directions....you'll need to shut the engine off for about 15 minutes during the process.

seafoamed mine today for the first time @ 135K.Could not tell a difference in the way the truck ran, even though it did smoke for about 30 seconds after the treatment. Maybe mine wasn't that dirty to begin with:bored:

    stock, for now
see that clamp next to the brake fluid? Remove it there. That way you have something to dip into the can so it can suck up the fluid.

Smoke came out of mine for a few minutes, I guess thats why I noticed difference in my truck after removing all that nasty stuff.

Before the seafoam, everytime my truck goes into the next gear it kind of jerked a bit. But after using seafoam, the transition between gears was a lot smoother.
