Thanks! I was really concerned when I snapped the All Pro UCA after 20 miles of knocking around, but the Total Chaos upper control arms are considerably beefier around the welds so they should hold up well.

I'm going to contact All Pro and provide them with pictures and a description of what I did to break their gear. I might have had a bad UCA or they might have since changed their welding technique to get better penetration. Either way, I hope that their future products hold up better.

I got the 2.5" Fox coilovers from them and have had nothing but good experiences dealing with the company. When it comes down to it, the desert is far more punishing than rock crawling and I wasn't using their products for their intended purpose so it's really my own fault. The hardware held up great when I crawled with it, and soon we'll see how the new setup performs!

Always good to have a schedule.
i know several people who have broken all pro stuff before...ive heard them called allpoo more than a few times...i wont knock their stuff too much because ive never used it...nor have i ever even shopped there and theres plenty of people who use their stuff and never have a problem...

one guy broke 2 full leaf packs in half before he finally switched to something else (i forget what)

I think the TC and Fox stuff is designed more to what youre going to be using your truck for at this point and you should be a lot better off

plus its just freaking sexy and if they would fit on a 1st gen i'd come steal them from you

Leaf packs snapped in two? That's a concern!

I plan on going with DMZ's long travel spring-under kit next year along with a slightly modified (although still not long-travel) setup for the front. There's no way I could afford to change rear setup this late in the game so I sure hope my junk holds together!

yeah they completely snapped...i think maybe 1 leaf held on each...but they were for early model trucks...like 82 or so

if you go full LT you have to change classes right?

Exactly. I can get the rear flexing nicely but the front is limited to 12 inches and stock lower control arms. I'll replace the front Light Racing bumps with triple bypass shocks to take some load off the coilovers and act as bumpstops, will reinforce the hell out of the LCAs, and will have the front shock towers tied together since new upper mounts will be needed anyway.

I should have stuck with cheaper hobbies.

Haha - Funny story:

Today, when I was coming home... I came to a 'T' intersection. The light was red and I opted to drive on the side of the road to make the right turn on red.... To my left was a line of cars waiting to make the left.

So, as I came upon the intersection, I saw a huge mud puddle - much wider that the truck and about 6-8 inches deep...

I popped it in 4WD and went off-road to the right of the line of cars - thus through the mud puddle and ahead to the light to make my right turn.

What I didn't realize when I went off-road and went spashing through the puddle was a guy's car with his windows open...

Oops.

Well yesterday I installed an ABS toggle switch with the help of piercedtiger and a few emails. Works great, and very easy to do. I had some questions about what kind of switch to use. The Toyota dealer had a switch for $82 but I decided to go with a pepboys switch with a light they only had blue. Damn. I really wanted a single red push button. Maybe later. This toggle lights up when the ABS is bypassed.

Today I recieved my HID's both high/low headlights and Bog lights. Sorry no pics of the install I was in a hurry and working alone. The instructions leave something to be desired but simple enough if you use your head. Thanks to Slim for the GB.
