I'm not selling my tacoma just yet, but she is getting older, and my parents are thinking about getting me a new one for graduation:) I was just wondering what yall think i could get for my truck? These are not the best pics, just some I had taken before, most on my phone. She has been well maintained, regular checks and fluid changes. I have a 3in body and 3in suspension w/ 35 pro comp xtreme m/t at about 70% tread. A pioneer premier radio w/ polk component door speakers to a 800 watt amp. 2 10 in subs to a 1000 watt amp. westin bull bar w/ lights. tinted windows. sr5 and trd package. 4x4. 3.4l v6 automatic transmission. new water pump and flushed radiator. new belts. deck plate mod. fresh paint job within 6 months ago, however none of the pics show the new paint(its still white just freshly painted). eagle rims. 130000 miles. tractor supply toolbox. rock sliders rhino lined. bed liner. Sockmonkey trd duck decals:)

    Thanks in advance, tyler

Truck looks really good. You've obviously taken care of it and the mileage is reasonable. Your average Joe is only gonna want to pay blue book value for it... regardless of the goodies and extras. Stick a For Sale sign in the back window (even if you are not ready to sell) and see if you can hook somebody who really, really wants it. If you know a place nearby the 4wheelers hang out... might be a good idea to swing by there with the sign as well. Have them make an offer (keep the KBB values in mind). The good news is that used car sales have been going pretty good right now.

    Nice truck.

It will sell. A Texas truck has had little or no exposure to road salt. How is the frame rusty or good.

Very nice looking truck, if I were a potential buyer I'd propose about 5.5k. Average joe would probably say 4k or so because of the miles seeing as most people haven't ever seen a Yota with 350,000 miles run a trail like it was brand new.

Wheels and Tires: 17x8" Ultra Goliath wheels with P285/70R17 Falken Wildpeak AT3/W tires, Suspension: Fox coilovers set at 2", TC UCA's, 1.5" lift 3 leaf pack with overload left in Other: TRD SS exhaust, Pioneer AVIC 4100 H/U with Android Auto (awesomeness), sat radio bluetooth, Accessories: Toyota roof rack, black Toyota running board steps, cargo divider, weathertech floor liners, Literider roll up soft tonneau, thule bars over tonneau, USB ports front and rear, seat heaters, birddawg mirror riser Cosmetic: window tint, grillcraft black mesh upper/lower grill, vinyl armrest in doors, Clazzio black seat covers with blue stitch, Redline steering wheel wrap Lighting: fogs only mod, back up lights, amber interior accent lighting, amber 10" LED light bar in hood scoop, 33" LED bar behind the lower grill, amber lamin-x on fog lights, Tacomabeast headlights and matching tails.
I tried to sell my 2001 xtra cab (108,000 miles in excellent condition) but nobody seemed interested. 33" tires, 4" pro comp lift, custom rear bumper, dual outlet flowmaster exhaust, PIAA fogs, mesh grill, line-x bed, tonneau, sliders, diff and xfer case skids, OBA, u-bolt flip, wet okoles and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. Anyway, I went around to a few local dealers for trade in value. Got offered 6k:(, 7k:rolleyes: and 10k:eek:. I ended up trading it in and since they specifically said that none of the aftermarket stuff adds value, I took off everything I could sell. Some stuff was even sold in exchange for a stock piece like the rear bumper. Ended up saving $600 in taxes on the new truck with the $10k trade in and also got another $1500 for used parts sold to other tacoma owners. So I figure I got $12k for mine but I got lucky, I still have no idea why that one dealer would offer so much more than the others. They had it on their lot for sale at $15,500 for a few months before it disappeared. Must have sold it at auction because I can't see anyone spending $15k on a used truck with 108,000 miles on it and all the off-road extras stripped.

If that truck was in Ohio it would go for 10k. They are very hard truck to find here now due to the rust issues. All the mods would have to come off though!

If you had the option, why not keep it for a dedicated play toy/trail rig so you can have fun and not beat up your new truck?

You should definitely clean up those headlights before you list it. You'd be amazed at the little things that can break a deal. Is it an automatic or manual?

I haven't a clue, so will say none.
I have been watching the Houston area ads for these for couple of years now and look at all of them I find on the lots.

Basically are none in the ads in good shape, and ones on the lots with 100 to 115k miles run up to 14k give or take some.

I just paid 10.4 for mine in San Antonio with 114k miles.
4x4 v6. Vrtually new set of tires (cheapos) Tacoma SR5 auto w/power windows, locks, mirrors. Is in nice shape

    Tyler,
You have some things under the front end of yours that might work on mine should you go to stripping it before you sell it. Maybe some other things as well.

FWIW I paid 8,000 for my 01 (completely stock) with 146,000 miles on it. It is REALLY clean though. The frame has absolutely no rust on it being that it came from southern New Mexico.

Who qualifies as "regular people" and what is the difference between a (M)exican and "regular people"?

    Just curious.

get a sign in the window now - just dont list a price. if someone calls talk the truck up - well cared for, lots of extras, etc. have them tell you what they would pay and work from there. toyotas that are in good shape are easy to sell. have proof of any maint. youve done in the past - some people like to know that youve stuck to a schedule and handled issues quickly.

For all who asked, there is hardly any frame rust underneath. I have looked around my area, and i think i can easily get 9k for it:) i just hate to sell it b/c i love the fact that just about anything i come across while hunting or trail riding i have no problem making it through. Also its nice to show up all my friends with chevys fords etc.

I would buy it if it didn't have a body lift and was manual. :D
