My indicatop light has come on and will not go off. I was playing in the mud, and when I was done, the light stayed on. I made sure it was not just stuck in 4 wheel drive. So, it's not in 4 wheel drive, but the light stays on. Any one know how to remedy this problem? Or at least tell me why I can't get it to go off?

I`ve never experienced that before, but have you tried backing up a ways ? or maybe put it back into 4low then 4Hi then push the button again? I`m curious let us know what you find out.

I have done all that. The dealership said the same thing, but no change to the light. I just don't want to have to pay for it to checked out and they tell me i need a new indicator switch, you know.

pull the switch...clean it an reinstall it has like a little plunger that moves when you put in 4wd so it makes sense mud could stick it

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I can't seem to locate the 4WD indicator switch. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
