This is probably the only time I've seen a hood scoop on a Taco that I liked, and that is because it is absolutely hilarious/awesome. Well done sir!

Actually, I was just messing with the guys with the Sports model. I'm a bit jealous because their hoods really do look good, and if the scoop was an option when I got my Offroad I would have gone for it.

I REALLY want to get a hood scoop but I want it done right like the pics first posted. Any idea on how much this would cost?

I would probably have gotten the scoop too if it had been offered. I just like the look of it, just like i like the look of a taco body style as opposed to any other make. a scooped hood just looks better than a plain one to me.

Yeah this is a pretty controversial thing huh? :)

Do you think a shop would do it for a reasonable price?

True. I would think that going to a body shop would be best. Or would a different type of shop be better?

Here is the breakdown for that hood

100 for the aftermarket steel hood ( I had a fiberglass hood at the time)
    375 in body work
    100 in paint

the scooped hood was free since they were fixing a wrecked X at the time

not a cheap hood by any means, but it was way better than the glassworks one that broke and flew up at 55 mph

Damn!!! I REALLY want a scooped hood but I can't justify paying $600 for a mod that's just for looks. Eventhough it's super sexy.

    this is available for you

and its way lighter, so there is some function :)

    http://www.glassworksunlimited.com/20to20totasc.html

Just reinforce the hood latch before you put it on
